As the founder and former president and CEO of Senior Technologies, Inc. (STI) Brasch pioneered the WanderGuard departure alert system for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. WanderGuard is now used in more U.S. healthcare facilities than any other comparable restraint-free products.

Other STI products include The Arial Wireless Nurse-Call System and TABS Fall Prevention Monitors, as well as specialized emergency pendants, motion detectors, magnetic door locks and scrolling display signs.

Brasch's industry affiliations have included: the Midwest International Trade Association, The Health Care Manufactures Marketing Council, The Health Care Manufactures Marketing Council. He is a past member of the board of delegates, budget committee and the fire safety and physical plant sub committee of the American Health Care Association.

He has also been active in area elder groups such as the boards of the Lincoln and Greater Nebraska Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and the Lincoln Senior Center Association.
